SIMULATOR OF FLUID FLOW IN FILLE OF FLOW ENTALING COMBUSTION OR REACTION

摘要

Water is adopted as the visualising medium since the flow speed of water necessary for maintaining a simularity of flow is only 1/15th that of air whilst the hydrodynamic power of water flow is about 800 times that of air flow. The simulator includes the visualising device with a water tank adapted to reproduce a field of flow with transparent cylinder simulating a burner, with source providing metered supplies of water and water containing fine uniform air bubbles to the fluid spurting inlets. A slit of light is projected on to the field of flow with the irregular light reflected from the bubbles of air being detected by a TV camera and reproduced on a monitor screen.
