The process comprises an aid for boiler sulphurous firing packages. The powder additive is a mixture of partially hydrated magnesium oxide, alumina trihydrate and calcium oxide. The proportions are up to 30 moles of MgO and 1-2 moles of CaO per mole of alumina. The additive stabilises deposits in the combustion chamber, and decreases high and low temp. corrosion.
