The tray made from a blank of corrugated cardboard covered with a sheet of fluid-tight paper in such a way as to have a bottom 2 from which rise four sides, parallel in pairs and symmetrical, obtained by folding, two of the said four sides being intended to lock the folds of four corner parts 5 in a way which is known per se, the other two sides 8 each having an integral outward rim 10 whose effect is both to reinforce the rigidity of the tray on the said sides and to ensure fluid-tightness over the entire external contour of the said tray is characterised in that each integral rim 10 is extended at each of its ends by a tongue 7 provided with closing means 12',12'', 15 cooperating with those 12, 12'',14 provided on each corresponding flap 11. <IMAGE>
