UPPER THREAD GUIDE MECHANISM FOR SEWING MACHINES

The needle thread supply appts. includes two space guides each having a through passage for the needle thread. Reciprocable across the passages in the space between the guides is a thread take-up lever which entrains the thread in a v-shaped loop and then releases the loop. Pref. the lever is reciprocated from the machine main shaft, either pivotally or slidably. The advantage of this appts. is that the take-up lever has no eye needing to be threaded.
