The building block has on at least one end face an undercut connection pin, made of a different material from that of the building block, and on the other surfaces undercut grooves for engagement with the connection pin of adjacent building blocks. The connection pin is inserted into the building block with an extension, on which there are arranged longitudinal ribs to secure it against rotation. In order to improve the insertion of the connection pin into an undercut groove, the building block is of hollow construction at least starting from one end face over part of its length, largely corresponding to the outer contour, the width of the cavity constriction, resulting between two grooves situated at right angles relative to each other, being matched to the thickness of the longitudinal grooves. <IMAGE> |
