Platinum-jacketed wire, method for production of a platinum-jacketed wire and use of a platinum-jacketed wire

The invention discloses a jacketed wire having a platinum jacket which encases a core composed of an alloy of 1 to 5% by weight of tungsten, the remainder being palladium. The jacket volume per length unit is 10 to 50% of the total volume of the jacketed wire. These jacketed wires are produced by drawing a rod-tube arrangement. The jacketed wires are preferably used as supply-lead wires for resistance thermometers having a platinum measurement resistor.
