PURPOSE:To enable production to be continued even if one of an IC card and production control computer would be failured by any chance, by registering production information by workpiece peculiar to each workpiece on a plurality of register medium such as the IC card and production control computer. CONSTITUTION:When a workpiece is cast in a preparatory process, the corresponding initial production information by workpiece is written in an IC card 7 by a reader 6 in an unit 2 for example. Then, the workpiece together with the IC card 7 is cast in an unit 3 and the production information by workpiece on the IC card 7 is read by the reader 6 for working and inspection. The accepted workpiece has process inspection data written on an IC card, while sending said data to a production control computer 1. The rejected workpiece is returned to a pre-process buffer. Thereafter, the workpiece is similarly sequentially sent to units 4, 5. Here, if the IC card 7 is broken, the computer 1 is inquired and if the computer 1 is incapable of communication, production is continued only by the IC card 7. |
