A fishing line guide (4) comprises a guide ring (6), a pair of fork- shaped legs (8) supporting the guide ring, and a pair of frames (5) extending from the gathered edge of the legs. The forkshaped legs including an auxiliary leg (13) are gathered at the bottom end. The frame to be fitted over the surface (3) of a fishing rod (1) is formed with an arc-shaped contact surface (10) and an auxiliary arc- shaped contact surface (12). The width (W2) of the auxiliary arc- shaped contact surface is larger than that (W1) of the arc-shaped contact surface.
