The apparatus having a display device indicating e.g. the hymn number, maintains the musical scores coded in the memory device containing the high 4-bit length and low 4-bit interval. The system includes CPU (1) for controlling the whole system, keyboard (2) for inputting command data into the memory device containing musical scores, RAM (4) for temporally storing the active scores, synthersizer (6) for producing sounds, a clock generator (SC) for varying the speed of the recorded music.
