When gluing textile materials, blanks of upper material (10a, 10b) and blanks of inserts (11a, 11b) must be placed one above the other to form gluing units (12a, 12b). These then have to be conveyed into a gluing device (13). For efficient loading of the gluing device (13), the blanks of upper material (10a, 10b) are removed from a separating station (17) by mechanical means and transferred to a conveyor (feeder conveyor 29).
