The string (S) to be cut is induced between guide rollers. Data of desired length and numbers of the string (S) are inputted inot a control box in advance. When the string (S) is induced through the guide rollers, a detecting roller (20) detects the predetermined length of the string and then a magnetic valve connected with an air- compressor through air-hoses is opened and closed to operated the air cylinder attached at the upper side thereof. The string (S) is then cut in a predetermined length by the cutter (14) mounted on the piston shaft (8).
