The invention relates to a photovoltaic solar cell, comprising at least one semiconductor layer, at least one electrically insulating insulation layer and at least one metal contacting structure, wherein the insulation layer is arranged between the semiconductor layer and the contacting structure, and the insulation layer has a plurality of contacting recesses at which the contacting structure forms an electrical contact with the semiconductor layer in a contacting region, and wherein a respective doping region is formed in the semiconductor layer at least at the contacting regions by doping the semiconductor layer with a metal, from which metal the contacting structure is at least partially formed. The invention is characterised in that the contacting structure has a plurality of contact fingers, each of which extends over a number of contacting regions and/or along a number of contacting regions, wherein the contact fingers have a local cross-sectional area increase at the contacting regions. |
