The electromagnetic radiator has a radiating electrode and a screening electrode (4) applied to opposite sides of a dielectric support (1). The radiating electrode has two individual plates (2, 3) coupled together via an electrical lead (5) which passes through the dielectric support (1) and the screening electrode (4), to act as a screened transmission line (7) at the rear of the latter. Each plate (2, 3) is rectangular with the plates (2, 3) arranged parallel to one another relative to the dielectric support (1).
