The drum brake has two brake-shoes (2, 3) which move outwards over a brake cam against the forcee of a return spring (5). An operating pin (7) in a bearing hole operates the brake cam (6) and has an enlarged support part with a dia. matching the internal width of a hard mounting sleeve pulled into the bearing hole. The distance between the support-part and the brake cam (6) is greater than between the operating lever and the support-part to the brake cam (6) tapers conically to the pin section. USE/ADVANTAGE - The mounting and operation of the brake cam of the vehicle drum brake does not oscillate and wear.
