PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device capable of improving uniformity in the contrast of a displayed image.SOLUTION: Pixel circuits 11 are arranged in a matrix, each circuit including a pixel part where incident light is modulated depending on a potential difference applied to a liquid crystal LC, and a drive part for applying a pixel signal voltage of a pixel signal to drive the liquid crystal. An input unit is constituted by a horizontal scanning circuit 12, a vertical scanning circuit 13 and an input circuit 14 and includes a reference voltage supply circuit 61 for generating a reference voltage. In a vertical blanking period after a pixel signal of the previous frame is transferred from a first holding capacitance C1 to a second holding capacitance C2 and until a pixel signal of the next frame is input to the first holding capacitance C1, the input unit supplies the reference voltage generated in the reference voltage supply circuit 61 to the first holding capacitance C1 through a first transistor Tr1 of all of the pixel circuits 11.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
