PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device capable of improving uniformity in the contrast of a displayed image.SOLUTION: Pixel circuits 11 are arranged in a matrix, each circuit including a pixel part where incident light is modulated depending on a potential difference applied to a liquid crystal LC, and a drive part for applying a pixel signal voltage of a pixel signal to drive the liquid crystal. An input unit is constituted by a horizontal scanning circuit 12, a vertical scanning circuit 13 and an input circuit 14 and includes a reference voltage supply circuit 61 for generating a reference voltage.
