The device includes a mold for applying pressure to the plate-like member, including an upper mold section having a punch of a defined shape for pressing the plate-like member and a clamp for holding the plate-like member during the forming process. A lower mold section is opposite to the upper mold section and has a die interacting with the punch for molding the plate like member into the defined shape and a knockout removes the mask from the die. Each of the punch, clamp, die and knockout including a heated portion in contact with the plate- like member and an unheated portion. A number of guide pins slidably connect the punch and clamp for slidably connecting the die and knockout. The guide pins passing through the unheated portions of the clamp and die.
