<p>The system loads pipes (7) into a pipe laying unit from a supplying vessel (8). The pipes are transferred between them in five or more stages. In the first (1), pipes are assembled by conveyor (21) from different storage points at a delivery station (17). In a second (2), they are transported (22) to a discharge station alongside the vessel. A third transfer stages (3) transports them to a receiving station (36) alongside the pipe laying unit, and from this in an insertion stage (4) they are delivered to a fifth distribution stage, delivering to different points in the pipe laying unit.</p> |
