Corrosion-resistant compositions The present invention provides a composition comprising a coating material or a lubricant and, as corrosion inhibitor and/or antioxidant, at least one compound having theformula I I wherein A is a phenyl of naphthyl residue or a residue of a heterocyclic ring having 5-7 ring members and containing 1 to 4 nitrogen atoms and 0 to 2 sulphur or oxygen atoms and which is substituted by n groups R3; R1 and R2 are the same or different and each is hydrogen, C1-C4 alkyl or C6-C10 aryl; R3 is C1-C15 alkyl, C1-C4 halogenoalkyl, C1-C12 alkoxy, thio, C1-C12 alkylthio, phenylthio, benzylthio, phenyl, C7-C15 alkylphenyl, C7-C10 phenylalkyl, halogen, nitro, cyano, carboxy-(C1-C12 alkyl), hydroxy, amino, CONH2, CONH(R4), CON(R4)2, NHR4 or N(R4)2 in which R4 is C1-C15 alkyl, C3-C15 alkyl interrupted by one or more oxygen atoms, or is C5-C12 cycloalkyl, benzyl or phenyl which is optionally substituted by halogen, C1-C4 alkyl, C1-C4 alkoxy or nitro, or the group N(R4)2 is a pyrrole, piperidine or morpholine group; and n is 0, 1, 2 or 3.
