A multi-purpose hair brush which may be conveniently handled comprises a bristle-carrying body of substantially segment-shaped cross section defined by a chordal surface portion and an arcuate surface portion, and bristles distributed over the chordal and arcuate surface portions. The bristles distributed over the arcuate surface portion form a substantially semi-cylindrical generatrix and the bristles distributed over the chordal surface portion form a substantially wedge shaped generatrix.
