The invention concerns an advance mechanism used to move the working table of various machine-tools such as the polishing machine for the execution of fragmentation channels on broach chips.According to the invention, the advance mechanism consists of a divider that drives a table transversal to the part to be processed through some gear wheels.One of the gear wheels is mounted on a corrugated axle on which there are some sliding gear wheels fixed into a position determined by some supports. The sliding gear wheels alternately drive a rack, thus determining the movement of the transversal table.
