Element for preventing movement of loose earth material or the like. The element comprises multiple compartments 2 and a framework formed from the walls 1 between the compartments. The walls 1 are hollow and open at one edge. The outer surfaces of the walls are slanting in relation to the plane of the framework in such a way that the internal cavities of the walls widen out towards the open edge of the walls.
