Tent of the type consisting, on the one hand, of at least one envelope made of flexible material, in particular a textile material, and, on the other hand, of a supporting structure 1 which is itself made up of tube sections which are fitted together and bear on the ground, and in which the envelope 7 is made integral with the supporting structure during pitching of the tent by means of flexible sheaths, in particular made of textile material, which are arranged suitably on the said envelope in order to receive the said tubes, characterised in that at least one of the tubular sheaths 9, 9' is slotted longitudinally along a generatrix, the two contiguous edges 10, 11 of the said slot being provided with a closure device of the zip fastener type 17, thereby making it possible, by simple displacement of a slide 12, to close the sheath over the supporting tube 1, and thereby avoiding the manoeuvre of passing the tube through the inside of the sheath. <IMAGE>
