Provided is a continuously variable transmission with a new and simple structure. A continuously variable transmission 10 according to the present invention is provided with: a first shaft 20; a second shaft 30 that is parallel to the first shaft and is eccentric relative to the first shaft; a first disk 21 coupled to the first shaft; a second disk 31 at least a section of which faces the first disk and that is coupled to the second shaft; a first spherical rolling body 40 that is disposed between the first disk and the second disk and is in contact with the first disk; a second spherical rolling body 50 that is disposed between the first disk and the second disk, is in contact with the second disk, and is coupled to the first spherical rolling body in a power transmissible manner; a holder 60 that couples the first spherical rolling body and the second spherical rolling body to each other in a rotatable manner and a power transmissible manner and holds the first spherical rolling body and the second spherical rolling body in contact with the first disk and the second disk, respectively; and a holder moving means 64 that moves the holder in a plane parallel to the first shaft and the second shaft in a region where the first disk and the second disk face each other. |
