Premix is obtd by (i) mixing (all pts): 0.5-2.0 a monocarboxylic acid, 0.5-5.0 a dicarboxylic or phosphoric acid 57 a high protein contg. hydrated meal substrate of vegetable and/or animal source 1-5 mono-calcium-phosphate 3-5 fodder chalk, and 5.8 vitamins and minerals contg. premix.; and (ii) adding 29.1 whole milk powder. - One of the following monocarboxylic is used in the prepn. of the premix: formic-, acetic-, propionic-, acrylic-, lactic-, sorbic-acid and as dicarboxylic acids fumaric-, citric-, maleic-, tartaric-, succinic-, oxalacetic or their opt. mixt; or ortho-phosphoric-acid.
