The colour LCD for improving the transparency ratio includes a mosaic type colour filter (30) on one side of the substrate. The transparent organic layer (31) of 1-50 micro m is inserted between the R,G,B colour elements so that each colour element is isolated and the back light passing through the colour filter is increased. Then the brightness of the LCD is improved.
