A disc filter segment comprises a frame 2 which is covered with filter cloth and has two opposite flat essentially circular-sector-shaped main surfaces 21, 22. Each main surface 21, 22 is covered with a separate piece 30 of filter cloth corresponding to the shape of the main surface. Each piece 30 is connected in an overlap joint to one leg 41 of an L-profile 40 along the base and side edges of the sector, the other leg 42 of the L-profile 40 extending over the end surface of the frame and the cloth piece 30 lying between the main surface of the frame and said one leg 41 of the L-profile. Fastening elements interconnect the L-profiles of the opposite cloth pieces at the periphery of the frame. The fastening elements are in the form of plate-metal strips which extend through opposite slot openings in the L-profiles close to the side surface of the frame. By virtue of the fact that a slot is present between the second legs 42 of the profiles at the base corners of the sector, mutually similar filter cloth pieces 30 with profiles 40 can be used even when the second legs 42 of the profiles 40 of both filter cloth pieces 30 overlap one another. <IMAGE> |
