A modified honey contains therapeutic additives which are not taken up by, or available to, bees, but are introduced by the bees themselves. The additives are mixed into a pure honey, pref. a cheap mixed honey, and this mixt. is fed to the bees in the hive. The additives are plant juices, plant essences and/or synthetic active agents. ADVANTAGE - The additives do not separate out from the honey, and their addn. avoids the introduction of unwanted microorganisms.
