The invention relates to a process by which those junction crashes are prevented in which a car coming from the right or left is in the blind angle of the supporting pillar of a windscreen. The approaching vehicle cannot be seen insofar as the relationship between the speed of the cars is V1 = V2 . tan α, in which the angle α is the angle between a line running in the longitudinal direction of the car and a line drawn from the driver to the front pillar. In order to eliminate the problem, mirrors are mounted in the front pillars at the height at which the approaching car would appear if the supporting pillar were transparent. Two other mirrors are mounted on top of or beneath the first-mounted mirrors. The reflection of a car approaching from the right, for example, is thereby transmitted from the mirror in the left supporting pillar to the mirror in the right supporting column and from there to the eyes of the driver. The process eliminates the problem of seeing an approaching vehicle without impairment of the view through the car windows. The invention is characterized in that the blind angle which is constituted by the front pillar is visible to the driver without impairment of the view through the car windows. <IMAGE>
