A synthetic fiber is produced by (a) mixing 100 wt.pt. polyvinyl chloride of 700-1700 polymn. degree with 2-10 wt. pt. barium stearate as a thermal stabilizer, 1-5 wt. pt. wax as an activating agent, 1-10 wt. pt. DOP as a plasticizer, 0.1-10 wt. pt. pigment, flame-retardant, antistatic agent and gas trapping agent, and 0.1-1 wt. pt. benzotriazole as a light-stabilizer in the mixer at 70-120 deg.C, (b) melt- spinning the mixt. in the extruder at 100-200 deg.C cylinder and 220-300 deg.C dice, and (C) cold-drawing and hot-drawing it at 100-130 deg.C.
