A turret punch press (1) and a die exchange device (37) for the press (1) are disclosed. The punch press (1) includes a turret (9) carrying die sets (29) in die set attaching areas (33) and a die exchanging device (37) having a plurality of housings (39) which move horizontally between the turret (9) and a die storage section (31) to take out and charge die sets (29) with the turret (9) and the die set storage section (31) to exchange the die sets (29) for next use.
