The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a plywood tabletop for caravan furniture, which comprises: stacking an odd number of peeled poplar veneers to form a veneer core; and placing first and a second engineered veneers on the core to form the top and reverse side of the table top, the assembly of veneers lastly being pressed so that they remain joined together. The invention also relates to a plywood tabletop obtained using this method. The invention provides an economical, light and high-quality plywood tabletop that is suitable for manufacturing furniture for caravans or similar recreational vehicles.
