The device (1) has a central display displaying multimedia data, and an electronic unit i.e. electronics circuit board (2), for controlling the central display and supplying the central display with image data. A display unit realizes display tasks of an instrument cluster. The central display and the display unit commonly utilize circuit modules of the electronics unit. The electronic unit, the central display and the display unit are fixed at a carrier. The carrier is provided with a front cover (6), a rear cover (7), and a central carrier element (5), and mounts the device at a dashboard. The display unit is designed as an LCD element (3) such as free programmable combination instrument. The central display is designed as an LCD element (4) and as an actuatable touch-sensitive display element such as touch screen. |
