<p>The preheater to raise the temp. or separate the charge material for an electrical blast furnace, has a collector with specific feed channels for O2 carriers and fuel connected to a distributor head and jets within the blast furnace. The distributor openings (6,7,8), connected to particular feed channels, have extended slits in the outflow direction to give a fan-shaped flame. The distribution head (9), pref. has at least one distributor channel (5) for the fuel, and a channel (6,7) for an O2-carrier, arranged at two different working planes which divide the distributor head (9) into separated zones. Two channels (6,7) can form an O2 body with a gap between them for the fuel channel (5), in 3 planes, to give sepd., zones in the distributor head (9). Cooling channels (14) are connected to the coolant supply and exhaust systems. The appts. is mounted to a side wall of the blast furnace by a conter frame to carry the collector, which pivots at the side of a frame which matches the opening in the wall for the burner assembly to pass through. The pivot action allows the distributor head (9) to swing on the vertical axis -. clear of the furnace. ADVANTAGE - The appts. gives a good heating action, and does not require the burner to be moved.</p> |
