The mixt. plate is cooled to approximately 4-8 deg. C., and involves a table plate (14) with an aperture (16) which with the exception of the top side accommodates a totally enclosed insert (18). On the topside of the insert is located the mixt. plate (12) proper, which is made of glass. Inside the insert (18) is an air guide plate (20), forming upper (24) and lower (22) chambers connected to one another by an air gap (26). In the lower chamber (22) cooling pipes (28) from a refrigerator are fitted, and the air guide plate (20) carries a blower (30) on its side turned away from the air gap. USE/ADVANTAGE - In dental practice, where ceramic pulp is used for mfr. of crowns, bridges, and the like, to prevent the pulp from drying out.
