The invention concerns an outer garment which comprises an outer material 1, a lining fixed in the outer material, and a releasable additional lining 2. For the outer garment to be used in winter as well as in summer and autumn, the added lining 2 has long sleeves 3, 4 and can be placed between the fixed lining and the outer material 1 in such a way that the sleeves 3, 4 of the releasable lining are placed around the sleeves of the fixed lining, for which purpose the fixed lining has an opening 19 for guiding the releasable lining into place through the opening 19, and the releasable lining comprises sleeves 3, 4 which, along a cut 8, 9, can be opened from the ends 5, 6 of the sleeves right up to the neck opening 7, which sleeves comprise opening means 10 for opening the sleeves and for guiding them about the sleeves of the fixed lining, which opening means can be closed so as to keep the releasable lining in place around the sleeves of the fixed lining. <IMAGE>
