This invention refers to a specific method of constructing membrane type keyboards based on covering two non-conductive materials (membranes) with sheets or layers of conductive material; through special procedures (e.g. etching) the excess material is removed and the necessary linear configuration (circuits) and dots are created. By inserting and affixing in between these two membranes a layer of properly drilled non-conductive material, we are able to achieve contact at selected conductive points and therefore form a circuit by pressing predefined points on any outer layer. |
