The invention relates to antenna aiming equipment making it possible to steer the antenna (11) of a space navigation satellite, for example a low-orbit satellite, onto a target, for example a geostationary satellite. The equipment comprises an angle detector (13) of the aiming mechanism, a means (15, 16, 18) serving to estimate the theoretical reference angle of the antenna on the basis of the orbital elements of the two satellites, an acquisition command means (21, 22, 12) which commands the steering of the antenna on the basis of the estimated reference angle, an aiming error detector (14), which measures the error of the antenna with respect to the target in the state in which the target is acquired by the acquisition command means, a tracking command means (24, 12) which commands the steering of the antenna in such a way as to correct the aiming error, and, thus, to track the target, and a means (26) which serves to calculate an area which can not be tracked by the antenna on the basis of the orbital elements of the two satellites and which carries out switching from a tracking command state to an acquisition command state when the target comes into this area.
