METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR TIPPING SUTURES

A needle suture combination which comprises a surgical needle having a bore at one end, and a surgical suture having an end inserted into the bore and retained therein by swaging applied to the needle in the vicinity of the bore the improvement comprising the end of the the suture tipped by application thereto of a cyanoacrylate compound which is substantially fully cured prior to insertion of the end of the surgical suture into the bore of the surgical needle.
