<p>The apparatus, particularly for military use, allows to decontaminate a person by proceeding both by absorption and destruction of the toxic agent by using an active decontamination agent prepared in situ, when it is to be used. It includes, inside a single case (4), un glove of the 'mitten' type (9) with high absorbing power and a wiping cloth (24) which is impregnated, when proceeding to the decontamination operation, with a decontamination agent fabricated in situ by means of a device (10) designed to store two constituants and to bring them in contact when they are to be used. The decontamination operation consists of two phases: removing the major part of toxic substance from clothing, mask and armement, and then proceeding to a fine wiping with the cloth (24) impregnated with the active decontamination agent on all parts which are difficult to be accessed.</p> |
