In a low-pressure cleaning unit in which it is possible to switch between rinsing operation for rinsing with process water and foam delivery with cleaning agents mixed with the water via an injector, and with a gun, hose-connected to the unit and with interchangeable nozzles designed for different modes of operation, it is possible, on the gun, to switch between the various modes of operation in that the unit comprises a pressure or flow-dependent sensor, which registers the pressure or flow differential when switching between rinse nozzle and foam delivery nozzle, and upon connection to the injector. The unit consequently switches automatically between the different modes of operation as a function of the different nozzles. <IMAGE>
