System which comprises a receiver placed in the actual vehicle and which, activated by a portable emitter, actuates a series of acoustic or optical signals, or a combination of both. In order to differentiate between the various systems, these will function on different frequencies or, alternatively, with different modulating signals. Optionally, the receiver may incorporate an acoustic or optical signal actuation circuit which depends on ambient light, actuation of the air-conditioning (climate control), different acoustic intensities, or door-opening devices. The emitter may also be used as torch (flashlight), key ring (key fob) or personal or vehicle diary (notebook, log). Applicable to the automotive industry.
