Composting esp. organic waste - using mixt. of pure oxygen@ and recirculated cleaned waste air
摘要
In the composting esp. of organic waste (e.g. domestic or similar waste) by microbial decomposition in a closed container supplied with oxygen, the novelty is that a mixt. of pure oxygen and waste air is supplied to the rotting waste and the CO2 and water content is sepd. from the waste air emitted from the waste. Pref. the emitted waste air is completely recycled to the rotting waste. Pref. the vol. ratio of recirculated waste air to supplied pure oxygen is 30-80:1, esp. 50:1. The amount of circulated air is pref. such that the container air volume recirculates two to ten (pref. two) times per hr. The CO2 is pref. removed from the waste air by a water jet pump in which a CO2-removing additive e.g. Ca(OH)2 or CaO, is added to the water. ADVANTAGE - The amt. of gas to be passed through the waste is reduced so that lower power blowers can be used and blower operating costs are reduced. Low oxygen consumption and good CO2 flush-out are achieved
