A magneto-optical disk drive seek control system for executing recording and reproducing in which two lens actuators each having an objective are mounted on an optical head driven by a VCM positioner and first and second beams (erase beam and write beam) are directed to the same medium track through the respective objectives, characterized in that in order to decrease the time to access to the target track in the lens seek operation of driving the two lens actuators and further decrease the access time by preventing off-track of the second beam in the VCM-positioner seek operation according to the first beam, in one mode of the present invention, processors dedicated to lens seek controls of the first and second beams are provided to simultaneously execute lens seek of the two beams by these processors when seek instructions are given from the host computer, and in another mode of the present invention, track counting is executed for the second beam as well as the first beam and lens seek of the second beam is executed in the target track position following positioner seek of the first beam when the second-beam moving speed decreases to the lens-seek enabling speed.
