The apparatus employs the jet power of sand for engraving. The apparatus comprises a sand supply tank (1) having an inlet (2), a hopper (4) having a screen (4) for selecting sand grains, a check valve (5) fastened suspendion by string (6) under the inlet (2), a discharge pipe (7) having an outlet nozzle (11) and communicating with the tank (1), and a compressor (8) supplying compressed air via a pipe (9) to the pipe (7) and via a branch (10) into the tank (1) compressed air from (8) flows into the pipe (7) to mix with sand from the tank (1) to jet-blast air-sand mixture out of the nozzle to an object plate for engraving it.
