The impregnated-type cathode is manufactured by sintering a tungsten metal powder under the reduction atmosphere to obtain a porous pellet, dip-drawing a Si, Ni and/or Cr oxidizing metal to form a cylindrical cathode ring, and impregnating an electron emission material into the porous pellet-interposed cathode ring. The method does not need a brazing or a laser welding in the combination of the pellet and the ring.
