<p>A transport and suspension device for a spare wheel (1) of a vehicle, which comprises a wheel basket (2) accommodating the spare wheel, which basket has on lateral elements to either side, centrally inside view, a suspension device by means of which the wheel basket can be detachably suspended in a mounting on the vehicle side, by means of which the wheel basket with the spare wheel can be swung up from a lowered position outside the vehicle into a horizontal position, is characterised in that the suspension device is formed by central guide rollers (5) which are supplemented by equidirectional guide rollers (5) peripherally supported on the vehicle side on either side of the wheel basket, and that the mounting on the vehicle is formed by two parallel guide rails, which can be run out in front of the vehicle body, for the central guide rollers and by further guide rails on both sides for the peripheral guide rollers, the guide rails for the central guide rollers being divided by respective hinges which allow the front guide rail sections to be folded in in opposition to one another towards the vehicle centre. <IMAGE></p> |
