<p>The present invention relates to a lubricant pump (36) for an internal combustion engine comprising a pump plunger (67) reciprocated within a bore defining a pump chamber (57) therein into which the lubricant is introduced through a delivery passage (97) during a suction stroke of the pump plunger (67) and from which the lubricant is supplied during a compression stroke of the pump plunger and means for reciprocating said pump plunger within said bore.
