The method for controlling the sound volume of each channel by providing the proper data on gain of each channel comprises the following steps: checking whether the gain of channel is controlled or not; reading the gain control data after calculating an address which stores the level value of relevant channel in the time of controlling the gain; controlling the gain of relevant channel in response to the gain control data. This method prevents the degradation of communication in the time of communicating with an office line leased circuit.
