Three=dimensional surface shadow image forming appts. - processes three=dimensional sequential tomographic images using distance image formation and shadow processor

摘要

The appts. constructs the display of a three-dimensional surface shadow image from three-dimensional sequential tomographic images contains and a distance image constructor producing images of each tomographic image w.r.t a reference plane. A compound distance image is constructed from the individual images and image extreme values computed for each image. A surface shadow image is produced using a transformation process and a shadow processor. USE/ADVANTAGE - For X-ray computer tomography, NMR imaging or ultrasound tomographic imaging appts.. Distance image is produced at high speed using hardware with wide general applicability.
