Free running coupling for two-machine drive of e.g. conveyor - enables main drive to be switched to opposite rotation by disconnecting fixedly guided system
摘要
The free-running coupling includes an inner ring (61) on the drive side and an outer ring (62). The lattery surrounds the inner ring (61) with some play between the two. Evenly spaced recesses (611) are distributed around the circumference of the inner ring. Having bases (612) which rise towards the closing direction. Individual sprung clamp rollers (63) are inserted in the recesses which are caught at the back by claws (641) projecting from a brake disk (66) rotatable with the inner ring. The recesses in the inner ring have a depth which is greater than the roller diameter. The brake disk (66) with its projecting claws (641) which catch behind the rollers, is associated with a remotely controlled brake. ADVANTAGE - Allows rotation of main drive without disadvantageously affecting auxiliary drive. Prevents overheating.
